1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Train Food Ordering Service ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users of the Service, including customers, restaurant partners, and delivery personnel.
2. Service Description
Train Food provides an online platform that allows train passengers to:
- Browse menus from restaurants at various railway stations
- Place food orders for delivery to their train seat
- Track order status in real-time
- Make secure payments online
We act as an intermediary between customers and restaurant partners but do not prepare, package, or deliver food ourselves.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Verify your mobile number via OTP
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
4. Order Placement and Delivery
4.1 PNR Validation
Orders require valid PNR numbers for train journey verification. You must provide accurate train and seat details.
4.2 Order Confirmation
An order is confirmed only after:
- Successful payment processing
- Restaurant acceptance
- Order confirmation via SMS/email
4.3 Delivery
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on train schedules and station stops
- You must be available at your seat during the delivery window
- Delivery is completed at the specified station platform
- We are not responsible for missed deliveries due to incorrect information or passenger unavailability
4.4 Train Delays and Cancellations
In case of train delays exceeding 30 minutes or cancellations, orders may be canceled with a full refund. We are not liable for inconvenience caused by railway schedule changes.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Prices
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR)
- Prices include applicable taxes
- Delivery charges may apply based on order value
- Prices are subject to change without notice
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept:
- Credit/Debit cards
- Net banking
- UPI payments
- Digital wallets
5.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment gateways. We do not store complete payment card details.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
6.1 Customer Cancellations
- Orders can be canceled within 15 minutes of placement for a full refund
- Cancellations after restaurant acceptance incur a 25% cancellation fee
- Orders cannot be canceled once food preparation begins
6.2 Restaurant Cancellations
If a restaurant cancels your order, you will receive a full refund within 5-7 business days.
6.3 Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.
7. Food Quality and Safety
- Restaurant partners are responsible for food quality, hygiene, and safety
- We verify restaurant licenses and certifications but do not inspect food preparation
- Report any food quality issues within 2 hours of delivery
- We are not liable for food allergies, dietary restrictions, or food-borne illnesses unless caused by gross negligence
8. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Use the Service for fraudulent purposes
- Abuse, harass, or threaten restaurant staff or delivery personnel
- Reverse engineer or attempt to access our systems
- Use automated systems to place orders
- Resell or commercialize our Service without permission
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our platform, including logos, text, images, and software, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the order value
- We are not responsible for railway delays, cancellations, or service disruptions
- Service availability is subject to technical maintenance and updates
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through:
- Informal negotiation
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Arbitration under Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act
The courts of Hajipur, Bihar, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
